@Steve and @Susan – my apologies. Over the years I have edited and modified numerous editions of the downloads and I must have made a mistake somewhere along the line.

But yes, when Pilate was interrogating Him it’s a really interesting encounter because Pilate’s wife was tormented by it all… right? So what does Jesus do to witness to Pilate, or get Himself off the hook? Nothing. Why?

Well the Old Testament prophesied He’d remain silent in front of His accusers. Isaiah wrote, “He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth.” (Isaiah 53:7, ESV)

Right? He knew what had been foretold about Him and He came to fulfill all that had been said before Him. But GENERALLY, Jesus answered nearly every question brought to Him. Even the evil and malice filled questions. Which is amazing to me. Even years later – after having left this study a long time ago. I’ll update the list again to re-include this verse. Thanks!

I just purchased. Thank you for your good work Taylor. I immediately had the same question as Steve (above). Pilate asks Him, “What is truth?” No response – other than it seems truth (who) is standing there right in front of him. Can you help us out with your logic here?

In your list of 7 questions Jesus didn’t answer you left out John 18:38 for some reason. This is where Pilate asks Jesus “what is truth?”
