When the graver danger awaited, it wasn’t abandoning, it was saving.”
To come of age with a partial understanding of who we are; to have personhood, purpose, goals, the ability to think; to decide for ourselves. Such freedom!
With many options, there are maybe not “graver dangers” but multi faceted consequences and those facets color our lives dramatically until we can mute the tones with experience and healing. Orphan Master’s Son is a great book! Thank you for suggesting it.
