That was a fun read. The OT, which is far more “interesting” than the NT, if you want to dig for cultural and litererary context of the when and why it was written, has so much foreshadowing, not only of the messiah, but the times after His death and resurrection. I hope more people check these posts out and consider the implications of the sacrifice made for them by Jesus.

Yes, yes, he’s speaking to the Israelites… but my post was written with Ephesians 3:6 in mind. “This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.” The gentiles are grafted in to the promises given to the Jews throughout the Old Testament.
