I've experienced one of those times where I've been moved to tears by the brilliance of a song being played by a transcendent master, in this case Prince. I never knew this cover existed until he died and I can't...stop....listening...to.....it. His vocals are amazing and that's from the shitty recording that I guess is the only one that exists but even then it sounds beautiful, but GOD when he opens up on the guitar?

Truly amazing, he takes those few chords and innovates upon them. It reminds me of the movie Amadeus, when Salieri creates that little song for the King's birthday and Mozart comes in while he's playing it and asks if he can try it. After playing a few bars he's like well that doesnt sounds quite right how about thissss AND suddenly pure ray of acoustical brilliance emanates from that harpsichord all pivoting around that simple song.

That's how I feel about what Prince did with the creep song, he took the brilliant template that radiohead created deconstructed it and put it back together so sweetly so divinely inspired I am truly in awe of the man and strikes home what a loss we've endured in his death. Thank you for writing about this song in a way it deserves most all of the other clips are a few sentences and a push towards the video, YOU GET IT TAYLOR thank you for your thoughts.
