I guess? Maybe? I am very very privileged – that is for sure. Last week I was in the slums – like slum of the slum of the slums – of the Philippines and I was extraordinarily privileged to meet families that lived in extraordinarily terrible conditions. I was privileged to learn that my worst most terrible days are infinitely better than their best days… And that I should never stop giving. That I should think of others first. That I don’t do that enough.

By doing these things my thought is that it would change me to stop ACTING privileged… And to think of those that are not as lucky as I am. Ultimately though – I want to be different. To learn. To grow. To empathize. Are you doing anything to understand others, from another part of town that lives differently than you?

I was lucky enough to chat with the Jesus Freak on the street corner in town… And I was better for it.
