Oh we read you loud and clear! We would never neglect such a fantastic movie’s comment section!!

I think you are literally correct. 100% I mean we could ask Stuart. But I think that’s the answer he already gave. You filled in a few key details though. So thanks for that!!

I know this is way too old, and I hope someone still reads my comment haha. But the way I interpreted the exam was as follows. The guideline for the test was "There is only one question, and only one answer." The question clearly was, "Any questions?" the only viable answer is no because anything other than that would make it 2 questions. any question would also warrant a response which is also an answer to the question. So the only way to achieve 1 question 1 answer is to answer with No.

Just watched "Exam" on IFC Films On Demand (where currently, it is free on xFininity) and I absolutely loved it. Thank you Taylor for putting it on your List of Mindjob Movies since that is the only way I would have heard of it. Seeing it now is fascinating since it deals with a pandemic. It is chilling that the title card with the date simply said "SOON". I'll note that thing about seeing films with twist endings is that, now I suspect a twist ending and look for clues for a twist throughout every film I see starting from the opening credits - she is a twin, the cop is actually the killer, this is a dream, the person is dead, he really was from the future, this is the afterlife, they could see all along - and my experience has been ruined somewhat. What I love about "Exam", even though I knew Deaf was the CEO, the film was still suspenseful and satisfying up until the last second. This is thanks to the superb intelligent screenwriting and direction, keeping me involved and entertained during the exam, er, film.

Man am I late to the Party. Still an awesome movie and going to watch Circle next. I wanted to get something out there though, since many seem to have misinterpreted the Question/Answer part including Mr. Holmes. While you clearly state what the Invigilator tells them, you are missing a very important part of the instructions given. That being 1 Question is given and only 1 ANSWER is required. So answering the question with another question would be a failure. However, just answering with Yes would still have worked.

As well I read someone being botherd, by her coming with a bunch of Questions after her Answer. Thing is the Exam was done at that point, so she was free to ask away.

Funny enough, there was something that botherd me quite a bit. They went through all that hassle to break the different lights. However once they figure out they are voice activated, suddenly all lights are magically repaired. For such a Brainteasing movie, thats quite a bit of discontinuity.
