In my lifetime, only one president has labeled veterans and people who belong to a major political party (Libertarians) as potential terrorists. Hint: It wasn’t Trump. I don’t see Trump shutting down dissenting views in the media or on college campuses. The establishment of a group of people who are explicitly rejected by society will come from relatively comfortable people who are easily frightened into letting the government have more power, for their own good of course.
