Hey Henry,
Don't disagree with your assessment at all, any. Creep 2 is way better from a full movie standpoint, but you are right, that ending in Creep 1 is beyond shocking. We were teetering the whole movie, wondering, is he just crazy? So good.

As for the endings, I really don't think they are CGI. I think they are physically done. I just don't see it. But that's just me. Wish I could find someone to talk to me about the endings. But alas. I cannot.

Just watched Creep 2. I agree that Creep 2 is a better story than Creep 1... or maybe more of a story. However, the ending of Creep 1 is not surpassed in any way by the sequel.

Other points of note:

On the interactions and the relationship between Sara and Aaron, the scene where they agree to get naked in front of each other is a statement in the way that they choose to film one another.

On the effects of the ax conclusion in Creep 1 and shovel shot in Creep 2, I would imagine these were done with modern CGI. However, the choices of camera angles allowed by the use of long shots probably lends a lot to the realism or surrealism.

Side note of agreement: Desiree Akhavan is awesome here.

Thanks for sharing.
