Came here to see if you’d reviewed In Darkness (you had), which I just finished watching today. In that review you referenced The Invisible Guest in the Room, which I searched for without success in several streaming venues. Sad face. But just now I happened to stumble on this page and saw the trailer image (which hadn’t loaded yet when I was last here). Ohhhhhhh, you mean The Invisible Guest. One of my favorites from the past year.

In the past few days I watched the Hindi version of that movie, Badla. Have you seen it? Excellent treatment, a bit more Bollywood-innocent in treatment, but with the genders reversed and a couple of other nice character bits thrown in. Actually adds to both the story and the reveal.

Now off to see if you’ve written about Vast in the Night, The Laundromat, or Uncut Gems (Sandler’s first great film, even over Punch Drunk Love, and I’m not inclined to like him) yet. Thanks for your cinema service.

And, at times, a VERY funny guy. But PLEEZ don’t bloviate. It even sounded like a f-d up thing to me before I knew what it meant, back in the mesozoic age, or something, somewhere, sometime like that, back when. I have gone through phases of watching non-usa movies, & have since the ’80’s when I was in my early 20’s.

Anyway I stumbled across this & had that intuitive feeling early in the film that the blond lady lawyer is not who she seems or is up to no good or some-damn-thing. It’s an intuitive thing, not a logical thing like physical resemblance i wrote the 1st sentence of this paragraph at the very beginning & this after finishing the film. Intuition maybe combined w/ subtle foreshadowing. I JUST KNEW,not the specifics, mind you, but she wasn’t who she said , something’s not quite right. Overall intriguing but not a fantastic film. I appreciate your efforts & what you do ! Much thanks !

Besides, your recommendations are on the top of my watchlist. However, there is just so many small mistakes in your reviews. I read numerous entries and I always see one. I would skip the mistakes for names but there are often factual mistakes! For example, it wasn’t his wife that was killed, it was his lover (3rd paragraph).
