Late to this post, but just watched the film for the second time yesterday after first seeing it in college almost ten years ago. I find your analysis to be pretty spot on, and Nitzan's reply above to also be true.

Interestingly enough, in Catholic church tradition (and perhaps in other Christian denominations as well), The Fall, or Original Sin, is often referred to as Felix Culpa, or "the Happy Fall." It is called this because the view is that, without the sin that originally entered the world, God would have had no reason to send His Son to the world; thus, the Fall ended up being something of a blessing in disguise for mankind. The tagline to "The Fall" just happens to be "A little blessing in disguise."

I'm very late to this table, but I've just seen the movie and no one online has interpreted the film the way I have. To me, it's clearly about the "fall" which is part of growing up, from living in fantasy to reality. There are a million hints if this peppered throughout the film, like when the litte girl interprets the doctor's words for her mom to reflect her personal desires, not what he actually says. But it's obvious in the interaction at the end when the girl insists on ending the story her way and when she sees her stuntman as the stuntman in every film, instead of the reality, which is almost certainly that he never worked again (or killed himself). There's lots of foreshadowing that her "fall" is coming, like the fact that she enjoys playing in the orchards today, but the doctor spells out how miserable her life will be as she gets older as a migrant worker in an area riddled with snakes. It's actually a pretty grim premise.

The fall is one of my all time favorites. Personally, I took the title more literally - the plot and plot within the plot were created because Roy fell in his last stunt and also sort of fell from grace while doing so. The montage in the beginning shows us that. Also, Alexandria fell from a ladder to break her arm.
I guess you're right to write it also refers to the first fall, but I see it more in a fashion of Roy's losing his pride and omnipotent feeling, and thus losing hope and will to live, and the struggle to rise from that physical and emotional fall.
