So what about the scene where E5 finds E6, who then leaves her tube, comes to E6's bed and looks as if she is about to undress E5. Then the scene ends, and we cut to AN Elizabeth being woken up. To me, this scene and where it's cut strongly imply the two switched places. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me; however, I also don't get the point of E6 coming to E5's bedside if she then just walks back to her tube. Note that in the ending, Shotgun Elizabeth is surprised to see a copy of herself. However, she earlier stood at that Elizabeth's bedside and touched her. So... why the shock?

That scene, unless it's pointless or a mistake, makes the movie harder to figure out.

In reply to <a href="https://taylorholmes.com/2018/08/16/elizabeth-harvest-mindjob-goodness-explained/#comment-1002217">Jim</a>.

The origin that you are quoting is actually the fake origins that E4-E6 were given by way of intermittently waking them up and implanting fake memories. Also, the experiments for E4-6 had turned into more of a god complex in which he tried to master manipulation of them and bold the complete power of life and death in his hands.

E1-2 were natural deaths, E3 was accidental/escalating out of control iirc E4 and the E5 attempt were premeditated.

I also think Oliver is the first of Henry‘s clones, eith his DNA, so the second Henry without really knowing it.
But, I think, Elizabeth is Claire,.. also noticed Claires voice in the last Elizabeth‘s fonally walking away,... which would explain why Claire just let her (herself) out, so that finally the crazy cloning circle is broken. Just a theroy :)

The origin of the “original Elizabeth” has unexplained holes. Her parents died tragically, she grew up on the modern mansion estate til age 8, sick mostly in and out of hospitals, right? My big question : How did “original Elizabeth” get from age 8 and being sick, grow into womanhood while Henry searched for a cure to the Werner’s Syndrome??? Or did younger Henry actually kill “original Elizabeth” after being married? Also, how did E1 and E2 die? Was their death natural or by Henry’s hand?

I just finished watching this and cant stop myself to comment on some of this. If you guys notice, he brings claire in because there are failure with his creation. E1 barely leave longer enough, E2 cannot even remember anything for more than 10 seconds, E3 finally, a perfect creation, despite he killed her, she did still have the disease genetic in her. E4 however another perfect clone but she however did not obedient to his command. E5 however is a survival one and if you notice, E5 and E6 are almost identical. Did not know if it is only me and my sister, the last quote Elizabeth was quoting while she walks away of the house is actually Claire’s voice.

If it was really Claire tried to get out the first time she saw Henry killed E4, then why she came back after she was discharged? For Henry’s money? Our suspection is, Claire repaired Elizabeth genetic disease by replacing the code with her own DNA — that’s how DNA work, replacement or cutting of DNA needed for genetic disease.

What do you guys think? Was it just my imagination on the last scene?

I think Henry said it in the film. I think he was honest with his wife having the disease, which was his primary goal to fix. However, this goal changed when instead of pursuing the honeymoon feeling he found the rush in killing someone else beyond the laws of man (technically not murder when the person is already dead). I think this started with clone 3 as the movie showed clone 1 and 2 dying naturally, coupled with the fact that clone 3 ran away, which could have been the trigger to start the killings. I think that's when he started to notice he enjoyed killing her. I noticed clone 3 was a suffocation quiet and simple, clone 4 was a machete, which he enjoyed because of the rush in chasing her, clone 5 he allowed more freedom, even allowing her to arm herself with a knife. This almost like in serial killer documentaries/shows, it starts of small, then it becomes bigger and bigger.

I also believe Oliver was his first clone, which I believe Oliver knew (or had a hint) from even before the journal was read. That's why he went through the same admiration for Elizabeth and Claire. He was attracted to them. At some point, I think Oliver wanted to pull away to believe he was not Henry, but in the end we are our tragedy, and succumb to just be Henry.
