Interesting take on the movie & background on Galton.
Key detail missed: Maude didn’t just faint, she had a spontaneous & seemingly random cardiac arrest! (random bc besides the stress & shock of the dog, she’s young & healthy).
This was revealed to be a direct result of Cleo being stabbed in the HEART. AKA “the crossover,” as Nerida called it. So they happened at the same time.

There are so many other details I’m curious about though, like if Nerida thought she was channeling her dead twin, who is she referring to when she says “she came back,” what is the significance of Keith dancing with her at the end?? What happened to Richie?!?

Yeah it was interesting and a little purplexing at times, but another great Aussie movie.
Enjoyed the music throughout but can find nowhere it’s mentioned on the net. Any ideas as I loved the song the twins sang by the fire.

Interesting read. I was a bit clueless after the end must admit!

Don’t quite get the bit you say about Dr Nerida’s sister Elizabeth being the one to inflict pain & distress on Cleo? Thought Lisbeth/Elizabeth died as a child? That confused me was starting to think wasn’t the long haired twin turning on he, but that Dr Nerida was the chosen one to die out of her & Elizabeth!? I know mind muggling.

It’s good to read your ‘take’ on a movie especially when it’s one that raises questions and different interpretations; not like the usual Hollywood action junk that numbs the brain.
But some of your mistakes have still not been rectified. Again, it’s Henry tied to the tree, according to your review Ralph dies twice.
Also Elizbeth died, she is long dead, this was confirmed by Nerida saying she drowned as a child And again later by her husband telling Nerida she wasn’t to blame for her death.
I’m also at a loss with your mention of a Victoria as Nerida’s twin.
Besides this you give a good insight into the movie which explained what was going on. But I’m at a loss as to why Ralph was blindfolded and how did Ritchie get so burned…..how was all this connected to the scars on Ralph’s back ?
