Absolutely horrific review. They’re awake for 5 hours at a time, with a “dark hour” after each cycle, and there are FOUR groups. 4x6=24. They awake and sleep in rotation to maximise “crops” as it’s referred to as a farm, and quite rightly so.

The guards are obviously part of a large criminal enterprise, with a powerful man at the top, who doesn’t accept mistakes or losses. The guard with the metal plate under his shoe, the weird one, is the nephew of this man, which is why he’s there, and still gets away with things, a family member right in the middle to keep an eye on it all.

The doctor had an idea. Didn’t know who to float it to, ended up taking his only option to be famous in his desired field and got involved with people who must’ve, not only facilitated his ambitions, but also promised him success in return for a steady profit.

The lady is weird, seemingly love struck from a young age and desperate to impress the doctor. She claims she just wanted to help him but once the criminals were involved it was too late. She says she’s leaving “tomorrow, maybe the day after…” as if she has a plan to escape but is waiting for the right moment. Which is why she cries and thus the “farm” is exposed to the children.

I came here to find out more about the small details I might have missed. Instead I’ve ended up correcting some wanna be reviewer who can’t even be bothered to rewatch a good film in order to write an accurate, or even opinionated review.

You’ve made stuff up to suit your own incorrect memories and titling it “why level 16 is worth your time”, but not your time, clearly not, otherwise you’d have rewatched it and written an accurate and compelling review. I can’t believe you even bothered. Did you really think no one would ever call out your sh*t?!

Very profound movie, reminded me the field theory: everything depends on the person looking at it. Or the great experiment of the "Bonobo" doll. Let's say that this film is turned into a masterpiece by all the high references about dogs behaviour.

Cabin in the Woods is one of my favs! This movie was just ok for me. I found the reveal to be a little goofy and it made waking them up and teaching them anything at all seem silly. They could have just harvested them for their skin.

Though well made and reasonably acted, it's a very dull movie with a predictable plot that moves at a slow, dreary pace. IMHO anyway, sorry!

The adults are all "bad guys" and the girls are mostly indistinct, generic characters that leave little impression. How I wish there were a traitor or two among the girls or a sympathetic adult to spice things up a bit.

Speaking of boarding schools, you may like to check out ... Boarding School (2018), for the unexpected plot twists if nothing else.

I purchased this movie on YouTube and liked it good deal. I was hoping for more Cabin in the Woods style “behind the curtain” type reveal. But regardless, it was still a great indie movie that told a good story without hand holding.
