Midsommar was indescribable. The psychic trauma that movie caused was just horrifying in the purest sense of the word. Just utterly and despicably vile. But in ways that were unexpectable. The horror of human sacrifices in the bright summer daylight was one thing. But it was the cultic mind control with this shuddering under current of fear – SMILING FEAR! That is the scariest thing out there. YES! WE ARE EXCITED TO BE HERE AND TO DIE BRUTALLY!! Oh my good Lord in heaven, was that traumatizing to me.

Now, as for True Romance – good old Quintin. I loved that movie. Everything about that movie I loved. And it sounds like we were at video stores about the same time! hahah. And I would get busted for recommending crazy to normal (delicate) people all the time! hahah. Especially since it was a small town community and I was the son of a pastor for the love of all that is good and holy. Shouldn’t I just be recommending Jimmy Swaggart documentaries? Hahahhahaha. I’m sure I’m an enormous disapointment to a lot of people. hhahahaha. Too funny.

A friend and I used to work in a video store a la Clerks for a bit after high school. We had a customer who seemed pretty chill and asked for a movie recommendation so we came up with True Romance (right there that tells you my age range). Anyway, the next day he came in shocked that 2 girls would recommend such a violent film with such crass language! So after that I was careful who exactly I gave movie recommendations to! I did mention a Midsommar to a friend because I believe if I had to endure it, someone else should have to as well!
