Has everyone actually been infected by this flower? Why can't you all see that it's a shallow derivative boring ripoff that starts dull and goes nowhere? Almost every bit of dialogue sounded like a childish. spoof, didn't you get that? Nobody over the age of 12 (the film's certificate) is going to be awake by the end. IS that the point?

It is called black mirror not "dark mirror"
Anyway I feel one could still make the argument that they plnt was never evil and it just worked how it was supposed to, and she was just happy at the end, because the plant made her happy like it was supposed to.

I think people came here for what the ending actually was.. like was it really changing people or was most of it in her head and that lady was crazy, because at the end of the day it didn't explain why the dog wasn't "happy" and you have to be crazy to put down you dog like that.

I feel like they leave it open to interpretation because they don't want a definitive answer.

I absolutely adore Black Mirror but the last season was so short that it felt like a bit of a letdown but I’m guessing they used a lot of funds to make Bandersnatch which I had fun with one day trying to choose all the options. I’m also an avid gardener so I love all things plants. Anyway...l love how this movie never gives a definitive answer as to whether the plant is actually infecting people to survive or if it’s just some kind of hysteria. Sure, the way it plays out alludes to the fact that it is the plant but as there is no test for such things you can never be quite sure. Plus, they used some kind of no no virus to get the strain to do what they wanted it to do so did they really test the safety? So at the end, everyone is robotically happy and ensuring the survival of Little Joe. I also found interesting the dynamic between mother and child. In the beginning they seemed happy enough with the way things were. But then Joe gets Little Joe and you don’t know if he’s changing due to his age or if he’s trying to help Little Joe. Then comes the conflict between him and his mother and we come to find out that she values her work possibly even more than her actual child. I feel like Ivan (that was Dad’s name, right?) will be the only one not turned into a Little Joe zombie because he is allergic to plants. It’s funny because a few years ago my son had to write this thing about me for Mother’s Day as a gift and I keep it hung up on my wall because it makes me laugh. It asks what things I like and he wrote, “Mom loves plants because they make her happy!”
