SPOILERS, of course.

A few people have suggested that the main character is giving up his life. This is wrong. As Aon explicitly tells him, he cannot change what has already happened (in this case being hit by a car and killed), but he can restore some of the balance he upset during his life (sending $4M to the firefighter and helping his evil boss into the state correctional system).

The question isn't whether he will go on living, but what he will leave behind. That's the whole point. He lets go of the things he thought he wanted, like the 4K TV and the horrible marriage. And breathing. Those are gone to him now, whether he chooses it or not.

This is why Theresa and Not Theresa are each in the movie. When he first gets to the table, Not Theresa is sitting there. When the cosmic influences of his death wave reaching back in time sweep over him, Theresa replaces her. We don't see Not Theresa again until the end of the movie when she shows up after a random hookup.

Interesting thoughts above. I just watched The Wave after tripping myself on LSD and shrooms. I've also journeyed on ayhuasca and san pedro, so yeah I know what the experience is like from a deeply personal pov. Moreover, I am an awakened soul who knows what I AM, where I came from, why I am here and where I am going. So I am one of a very few number on this planet who understand these core truths hidden in this sea of illusion.

Let me tell you straight up that it is indeed possible to time travel on DMT as the soul leaves the body and enters a higher dimension where it is possible to revisit and re-experience the past. Physics tells us that time, or more accurately space-time is relative and that all possibilities exist simultaneously in each moment of now. Our experience is therefore relative to our perspective as the conscious observer. In other words everything that can happen, including the future, has already happened at the causal dimension. In spirit form we have the ability to jump around between what one observer may perceive is past, present or future. Trippy stuff I know.

I love this film and its message of karma. There are a few elements not addressed in the article such as who is Theresa and what's the deal with Frank being called "baby"? I think I will need to rewatch the movie to see if there are clues to the identity of Theresa. Presently I believe she represents Franks twin-flame, his feminine counterpart; certainly she represents a type of guiding angel.

In relation to baby I get the sense the film is telling us he is a young soul, a spiritual baby, as many incarnated here on this nutty planet are. Which is one reason this planet is ruled by Satanic nutjobs, as the souls here are so young and lacking in perceptive ability that they can't see the truth, and do things such as be corrupt devious lawyers for self-serving insurance companies. In this sense we see Frank grow up spiritually by correcting his harmful actions.

In the 60's the CIA distributed thousands of tabs of LSD as part of their MK-ULTRA mind control experiements. That program was promptly shutdown when they realised they were actually helping people to wake up from the matrix dream reality which they are meant to protect on behalf of the Satanic elite. Which is why all psychedelics are illegal, as they wake up souls to the truth and a higher level of consciousness which threatens the Satanic matrix of control.

For a long time I was terrified of psychedelics, even alcohol. I could never understand why people consumed these substances. But now I have experienced what these substances can do in terms of awakening ones soul/consciousness to higher levels of awareness I highly recommend everyone do them at least once in their life; and at least until reaching the Oneness Experience where you remember that we are all One, all the One Source, eternal and omnipresent in all time and space. We are all chips off the same block of Consciousness and the Universe is nothing more than a 3D holographic playground for Source to experience itself. All here is illusion.

Indeed The Matrix trilogy touches on some of these aspects, but with a strong focus on the negative beings that have turned this planet into a prison/farm for souls/energy. This is way off topic but I hope it may be of interest to those on the path of awakening from the dreamworld.

Getting back to the film. I don't see how it could possibly be just Frank accessing his memories. How would he know where to send the homeless man with all that cash unless he had already been there? And as Jeff said, "when did you get the time to do that?" What am I missing?

I don’t believe Frank is actually travelling back and forward in time, and I don’t believe it’s just his dying mind playing tricks on him. I believe one of the effects of the drug was to alter his perception of reality so he no longer experiences time linearly as do the rest of us. This is how he was able to arrange the mortgage etc (although that’s still ridiculously fast). The only real mystery is Theresa. Did Frank’s Theresa ever really exist? When he thinks back, he sees the other one.

Oh, forgot to mention that Frank had to invent another Theresa, the 'real' Theresa that he finally located with the help of Theresa's friend near the end of the movie. That's because that was the only way he could justify having his own Theresa living with him in paradise. After all, you can't have Theresa both alive and well on earth, while at the same time still being available to him in paradise after death, right?
