John Troy, in answer to your questions, based upon my understanding of the movie:

Q1. At around the 25-minute-mark of the movie, a man goes into the well and finds Victoria’s body. Then that man and two other men pull her body up using rope as Victoria’s mother walks away distraught. Fifteen years later, Stephen does not find her body when he climbs down the well because her body was retrieved fifteen years earlier. It is plausible that in all the confusion of retrieving her body, the man left her rope in the water at the bottom of the well, so Stephen, fifteen years later, was able to retrieve the rope.

Regarding the other questions you’ve asked, I think you will find the above article basically answers Q2, and your final questions about the dancing, I would kindly ask you to use a little imagination and work out an interesting answer for yourself, in combination with referring to the above article again :)

Q1. Why was Victorias body not find in the well ? Stephen climbed down the well and stood in a couple of feet of water and retrieved the skipping rope. Where was Victoria’s body ?
Q2. Why did Conrad and Stephen turn into old men when the jumped into the well ? They had selected the correct time slot to get there so why did they age ?
W4. What was all the dancing in the sticks about ? Both Conrad and Stephrn jumped into the we and travelled through time but Conrad never did any dancing in the sticks.
I would add ‘Somewhere in Time’ with Christopher Reeve and JNe Seymour to your list of time travel movies. Well worth watching.
