I thought this was an excellent movie. Trying to figure out time travel movies can make the head spin. At first I thought they kept sending him forward over and over again. The skeletons with the oxygen masks hooked up to machines on the street was a nice touch. The timeline changed when he decided to send the plants back. His skeleton disappeared and the city changed. Obviously someone in the past knew what to do with the plants. The city seems to have been built on the importance of plants.
I thought this was a smart sci-fi movie.

That was a really good recommendation. I wasn't expecting that from the first frame of underground people labelled "indie".[Spoiler:] Now I agree that the happy end might be a bit "too much". But artistically speaking it was the correct one.
The review had harsh language but it was pretty funny to read, well done. I thought you would detailed the "initial sequence" ending a bit more though. [Spoiler:] Nevermind writing it up I've realised Jude's always doomed. Although... is he ? Could he just have thrown the body back to the Chronicle ? He did at the start, no ? What's clever is there is no paradox because no one sees the tape.

Also at first I thought the "fight me" was "find me" so for a while I believed in a suicide theory
@Gavin, the Ethan in the future is already the one being sent. When he send the message, he just circling the loop. When he doesn't go back, he's out of the loop.

I don't know why people are saying the acting was bad, I've found it pretty on point.

no, the skeleton is from when ethan returned to the time the folks were going to pass through and got shot and left in the hall. that's why it was a skeleton. his brother never shot him. the recording her heard was his brother yelling 'fight me' and eventually shooting himself, which is what happened all along.

the change is when ethan decided to send plants through the tunnel instead of coming back --in doing so he was never shot and left in the past.

get it?

About that skeleton question. How could Ethan even find his own skeleton? This would mean that the Body would have had to be laying there for a couple of years. Now how would this be possible? This means that in another timeline Ethan would have not jumped to the same moment in the future! So dead Ethan nust have arrived some years before the Ethan we are following. But if he arrived earlier and was shot by the arriving settelers from the past, where are his murderers now?

The way time travel works is linear. Each to its own path, but eventually linking. Just because the didnt show his skeleton after dude shot himself which ended that path. It still happened in an alternate reality. I dont think his skeleton would disappear. It should, but conversely the new world appears while he is still there in the present. Their time will not be relevant to his observation, and vice versa. The fact that there is a machine to traverse time and send matter thru it, trumps the holes and flaws in the script and should demand a deeper look. You can't explain all of your meanings in an hour and change(1:54) I think, not going to research. The nit picking of that last sentence as a minute and 54 seconds im sure will manifest. Its a message that nobody has even addressed, an artist vision can capture the limitations and cover all of the proven realities without letting their own shine. So what if there things that don't line up and some of the acting is not up to your standards. Your staring at pixels missing the whole picture. This is brilliant, and its message is timely, there is so much empathy for the thoughts of those who lit the fire. Its really a cycle if you look at the movie the beginning and end. They lady at the end is a metaphor for what happen to the earth, even tho the author did not deem it necessary to explain what happen from the cause of the floods to the extinction of plant life. It calls to recognize a mentality that is destroying us all.
