In my eyes, it seems to me these people, JP and Francis, we’re trying to find the meaning of life. They each had no faith, but JP was a billionaire so money was all he had in life. He suffered from aggro phobia, and imagined he had a sister. Francis was there to rob him and leave. I may be too down to earth to understand this film. A beginning, a middle, and an end!

If it went on for 2 hours my take might be a bit different. I almost want to say the weird acting was on purpose. This film was staged somewhat like a theatrical event and that’s what I felt I was watching, if that makes any sense. Theater acting is a bit different from film acting, at least to me and I felt like that’s what they were trying to accomplish here. It captured the spirit of the Poe story had it been set in relatively modern times.
