Perhaps I’m not clever enough to explain this film to myself, but I could not make sense of it at all. In my eyes, it seems to me these people, JP and Francis, we’re trying to find the meaning of life. They each had no faith, but JP was a billionaire so money was all he had in life. He suffered from aggro phobia, and imagined he had a sister. Francis was there to rob him and leave. I may be too down to earth to understand this film. A beginning, a middle, and an end!

I enjoyed this being that it was a relatively short film. If it went on for 2 hours my take might be a bit different. I almost want to say the weird acting was on purpose. This film was staged somewhat like a theatrical event and that’s what I felt I was watching, if that makes any sense. Theater acting is a bit different from film acting, at least to me and I felt like that’s what they were trying to accomplish here. It captured the spirit of the Poe story had it been set in relatively modern times.
