I Loved this movie! I was drawn to it from the get go because I was familiar with the island and supernatural thrillers are my favorite. I loved shots of the island. I wasn't expecting an Oscar contender. It held my attention and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I felt it was extraterrestrial activity and was satisfied at the close of the film. So glad they made it.

I came to pretty much the same conclusions as you. I took it to be some kind of strange alien abductions where they take hold of their prey on earth, make them do things and then study them much like the fish that get removed supposedly for the good of the rest so we can learn something. Why they focus on this one area I’m not sure of. It’s not so pleasant when we become those very fish. This was a really clever movie and I enjoy horror like this that makes you think.
