					<description><![CDATA[Yeah, no..... I&#039;m a hard SF believer. No messy metaphors for me. In the original unmodified time-line Alice&#039;s Dad was killed by David but he didn&#039;t harm her. Alice grew up  and invented the time machine and travelled back to those woods. She then poked into events in ways we are not shown to get the interventions going so her younger alternative self would ultimately prevent the original car accident. She may have only intended to save her Dad and dog/Mum since she did not go back to the time of the car accident, or for reasons unknown she may have felt this was the best way to go about preventing the entire chain of events. Perhaps the machine had complicated limits not explained.]]></description>
