You prefer your film experiences resolved in a sitting. I get that. Pretty new-school of you actually. I have been trained by Star Wars to wait, patiently, for decades. Loved the experience of waiting a year between films. But I also have read the Dune book cover to cover, so I know what will happen, though I don't know what it will look like. So yeah, I'd like to see it resolved. But filming for Part 1 happened in 2019. So even if they started filming today... which they obviously can't... Part 2 wouldn't come out until 2023. My more realistic guess is 2024, and that they'll shoot for Part 2 and 3 simultaneously. Just guessing. Which would mean a 2024, 2025 release date. So buckle up sister.

Might a recommend a book to read while you wait?

Thanks for the explanation for dummies like me. I enjoyed the film but only as much as someone could who doesn’t already know the story. I feel like we are dumped into this world with very little background information about these different houses and characters. Plus just randomly ending the film with no resolution of anything is very frustrating. It’s a gorgeous film and the sand worms are some fine effects. I’m hoping we at least get a part 2 with some resolution.
