I think we can argue his career is completely dead even if he manages to live. Because as soon as the paramedics arrive they would know he was drunk and high on the job. So there’s that.

This film is very stressful to watch. I compared it to Uncut Gems as far as pacing goes so make sure you have your beta blockers on hand before firing it up!

I worked in a number of restaurants when I was in my very early 20s and boy, it is a nutty environment. First off when I got hired for my first restaurant job I just went to an open house and they were actually sorting people into jobs by how they looked as opposed to their skill set. I kid you not. Marginally appealing looking people got hired for the FOS (front of house) and everyone else got hired for the back. The war between FOS and back is very real with both always complaining the other has no clue how to do their jobs. Since most of the staff in restaurants are young people, there is a huge amount of partying that goes on after the restaurant closes and the employees usually hang out which of course causes hookups and lots of drama in the workplace. So yeah, that’s your average restaurant environment in a nutshell. So I’m this film we have a chef who is totally dropping the ball due to his personal problems and of course it’s going to affect everything and everyone else in the place right down the line to the dishwashers.

What I loved about this film was the camera following different people so we get a number of side plots like the waitress serving an obviously racist customer. And of course Vinette whom I had never heard of before this film totally stole the show in my opinion. Most of us know Stephen Graham as he’s been in hundreds of shows and movies over the years but I agree everyone in this film were amazing. I did not notice any camera cuts at all.

So get your Valium or beta blockers and definitely watch this one!
