i went into the movie knowing nothing besides “japanese horror” and i love how there weren’t any horror elements until she was peeking from behind a tree. that shit was so eerie and immediately changed the tone of the film

up until that point i didn’t know who, if anyone, might be evil. because while she was creepy in her audition, he was way creepier with how he objectified women
