This movie is more of a heartwarming comedy rather than an accurate picture of the time. I told you folks that on Discord or Patreon after I watched it and yes, it’s told from the point of view of a child. I really enjoyed it for what it was but I liked CODA more so if you have time or need a film for family movie night, definitely watch that one. But the acting was great here. I was sort of surprised Judi had more of a background role in the film but the kid was great!

When I watch films or shows based in Ireland (especially Northern Ireland as that Belfast accent is hard for me) I always need the subtitles on! Or for Guy Ritchie films!

Funny thing I read. Someone had criticized Jamie Dornan’s accent as non authentic even though he is from Northern Ireland! I guess we are used to hearing him do an American accent so his regular voice is kind of shocking now!
