She wasn’t the prey of the predator, she was prey of wild things on the land and of the sleazy fur trappers. Yes, that’s obviously why she beat him. Because she wasn’t even registered as a threat. But I still found this film just okay and a deviation from the formula of the previous films where the prey isn’t morally correct in the first place.

Didn’t I literally say that in the walk through. 100% agree @shelbzilla. That’s why he walked right by her. Which, sort of stretched the bounds of credulity. But whatever.

lisa- she was literally prey every single time and that’s why the predator didn’t register her as a threat. he attacks predators only. i tried to explain that in the discord but i guess i wasn’t clear. that’s how she beat him. by never seeming like a threat because she was always being attacked by something else. in other words, she was always prey. that’s why the movie is called prey

This one was just ok for me. She wasn’t even prey because the predator didn’t even register her. Plus some of her eye rolling and expressions irked me a bit as she just looked like a modern surly teenager. And while some of the folks in this film deserved what was coming to them (like the fur trappers), the Native Americans didn’t. I like a good action flick as much as the next person but this was just standard action fare. This one strayed from the formula a bit because in the previous films the protagonists were of questionable moral character but in this film they really did no wrong. However I loved that they used legit Native Americans in the roles and hope to see more of this in the future!
