It was dragged out ridiculously so that every time someone said “winter is coming” I wanted to bust my tv. It was also incredibly dark. Literally. Almost everything was filmed at night and you could barely see what was happening. Which is probably why eagle eyed viewers found things in the frames that didn’t belong like Dunkin Donuts cups and whatnot. So I started watching this new one with a bit of a cynical eye but of course I was hooked right in. HBO knows how to demand our viewing, that’s for sure. Maybe now that the original series is over and some time has passed I will give the books a go. Like you, I covet certain series like King’s Dark Tower. Those could never be adapted properly on any screen.

I actually had no idea The Expanse was a book series. I am shamelessly hooked on that show and the characters. I’m a real sucker for interesting sci fi. Another one I may have to read if only I could find the time!
