This write up does make it sound like it’s a depressing film. And the subject matter is which is why it’s such a great film because it’s also downright hilarious! I mean come on! I don’t like to see an animal death but what other film can pull off a donkey choking to death on a man’s fingers and a guy setting a house on fire with his best friend still in it and still be hilarious? Deserved every win it’s gotten. Hope it wins even more!

But what makes it glorious is that it’s also absolutely darkly hilarious. Easily one of the best films of the year and probably no one will actually watch it. Sad! If you lived In Bruges you will definitely love this.
