And lastly, you even thought going in this was a time travel film and you know why? Because you had to be thinking the same as I was. How is it that Adam Driver playing an alien from 65 million years ago is piloting a spacecraft that looks like humans thought it up and how does he look and speak exactly like a human being? This movie is an insult to anyone’s intelligence.

Hopefully you are more awake today and can understand my comment. This movie certainly isn’t complicated but it’s lazy writing.

My point was this- Adam Driver is playing an alien species who crash lands on our earth 65 million years ago in the age of dinosaurs. Now let’s think about it from a scientific standpoint and all the things that had to happen for humans to evolve on earth as we are today. What is the likelihood that the exact same things happened on the planet Adam Driver is from 65 million years ago? Every same minuscule event that happened on earth for us to evolve into human beings happened also on his planet 65 million years ago so he is playing an alien looks exactly like us? I think not! Don’t you think it’s more likely that if there are or were aliens out there on other planets that they would look nothing like us and their tech would be things that we couldn’t even begin to comprehend? Lazy writing! Plus he just happens to crash land on earth on the day dinosaurs are going extinct? Not only does this movie want you not to think, it’s almost an insult to anyone’s intelligence who cares about science at all.

Ok so here are my issues with this film. So, it’s 65 million years ago and on some planet somewhere in a galaxy who knows where a species evolved that looks just like human beings and they speak English? Plus they use the same exact phrases and colloquialisms we do? Oh and they have gadgets, weapons and spacecraft much like we would likely have perhaps some time in the future. Plus they didn’t even try with the scenery on the home planet. There’s some funky looking rock formations and an ocean with tides. Not sure how this screams a planet far far away. What is the likelihood of another planet evolving just like this with human beings included? Doesn’t seem to likely but I guess this film doesn’t want you to think that hard. Plus they arrive on earth on the exact day the planet killing asteroid hits and wipes out all the Dinos? Arghh. They could have made this movie so better in so many different ways but I guess the writers aren’t big thinkers either!

You know how many specific things had to happen on earth just so we could be here right now? Which is why I find it highly unlikely that some humans evolved on some other planet 65 million years ago. Nope, this isn’t a time travel film. It’s a film for people who don’t want to think too hard about anything!
