Nice to see a different kind of film win for a change. Plus Jamie Lee was just great in it. So happy she won even if the other contenders weren’t. Sour grapes!

And Brendan! So stoked for him. I’ve loved him since he made silly films like Encino Man back in the day. He was fabulous in the closed box world of The Whale even though it’s morbidly depressing. The supporting cast was also great. You totally forget the movie is pretty much filmed in just one room.

I’m bummed about Banshees not winning but at least it lost to EE which makes it a bit less of a disappointment.
