I wondered about the mom as well. Was it even really her? Can any of it be trusted or do they just play off what they think you want? Would Riley have gotten better eventually even if Mia didn’t die? however i am confused about whether the spirits do get weaker over time, and if riley was actually going to be ok? because if the mom spirit gave us that info then how do we trust it?

This movie hit me right in the gut. It’s scary, terribly so but it’s also very sad. I can see why A24 was involved with this one because it’s much deeper than a few jump scares. That ending! Only for her to end up on the other side of things just felt very fitting! At first I was like wait, what? And then it clicked and made perfect sense.
