I was in love with both the story and the soundtrack of Dark. It fixed all the cotton-candy holes of Stranger Things, and satisfied my darker (pun intended) instincts. I got through the ?entire? first season, or maybe most of it, then life forced a viewing break.

When I came back to Dark, I found it just too bloody convoluted to follow anymore. I really tried, but when entertainment starts resembling the prep for a dissertation, I’ll leave and go do whatever I was avoiding by coming to the entertainment, lol!

If I ever watch it again, I may ask/purchase a copy of your family tree to guide me, and start over from the beginning.

In reply to John. Literally have spent 2 weeks crafting my Dark Family tree. It's basically done. Was sitting here this morning trying to decide if I ought to include who jumped to what time period. But we know so little, and so much is implied. Jonas jumped back to 1986, and forward. Regina's dog jumped forward. If any of you want to take a shot at a list of the jumps that we know for sure, I may just include it. But I'll need your help to catch them all. Thoughts?

I have read your reviews in the past to enhance my enjoyment of certain shows and movies, like Taboo, and other mindbenders. I can totally agree that I was hooked on Dark from the first scene, episode one! I am hard on what I watch, but this show is like a breath of fresh fragrant spring air. I love a good dark mystery, well seasoned with esoteric, science fiction, and creepiness. This show is a 10 in my book. I was hoping to come here and read your review, but now I do understand why you have not done one. I started to write the characters names and parantage down, but found a wiki online that had done that. I know I will be watching this over and over. I love to re-watch things like this knowing the story from beginning to end. Anyway thanks for a great website and giving me recommendations for what to watch.

Brilliant! Such a satisfying, mindbending adventure of an intertwined past, present and future. Most impressive is how characters are connected to each other and themselves, with an almost mathematical precision, as they move through a warped time and space. Masterful!i

Who is related to whom and what is their connection etc. Totally. An infographic for this show would be amazing (and difficult to do!) But yeah, I will begin working on it as soon as I finish. On ep5 now.

No spoilers: Just finished Season 1. Great show. So much fun to watch the web unravel or puzzle come together. Both analogies apply at the same time.

Oh yeah,
You’ll either see my post, or I’ll come looking for you. Just need a couple hours in my life to free up. Dying to see what happens next. So much goodness already. Can’t wait for the first jump back to the 1950’s hehehe. Hasn’t happened yet. But I’m sure it’ll unlock a lot of secrets. See you on the other side.
