I was thinking, if only he didn't stop to greet the kid, they wouldn't be in an accident and none of those things would've happened. It was the boy's fault after all. He must have had some kind of curse or something.

I just watched this yesterday and definitely a great film! In the scheme of the plot I don’t think it’s necessary for us to know exactly how he tracked the killer down but he probably remembered what he looked like since it was such a traumatic experience. I wasn’t sure what to make of the ending scene but I like the idea of it making us remember that everyone in this film was human and had horrible life circumstances thrown at them. Not that killing is ever the answer to financial issues but you folks get what I mean!

In reply to <a href="https://taylorholmes.com/2018/03/16/somebody-explain-this-netflix-korean-movie-forgotten-to-me/#comment-947925">Anna</a>.

Yeah I kind of agree with your take on the ending in terms of it showing when the two boys were really happy. I think it's mainly the film suggesting how that these two perfectly normal families (and two boys) can cross paths in such an innocent and forgettable way (lollipop and smiles scene), and yet, it's the beginning of a nightmare chain of events unfolding for both families that throws them together in the most horrendous way.

Great film though - and yes, I have only just watched it! :-)
