Hahaha
Sounds like you and I are literally in the same place. That is, the still making sense of it place.

If I were a betting man, I’d bet that the wolves weren’t involved in any of the killings. I’d bet money it was Medora behind all three. Worse though? Would be if each of their mother’s had been to blame. But no. I’m guessing Medora top to bottom.

I didn’t realize they were brother and sister until Vernon goes to visit John and he tells him that they both had the same eyes and then I was like ohhhh! So I’m guessing perhaps they moved where no one would know them or look for them because I can’t imagine any other reason for living in such a dreary place. As for the film itself I’m still not sure if they were just mad from some kind of disorder. Maybe she had seasonal affective and he PTSD. I’m also not sure if the wolves actually took any kids at all. They spared Russell twice, once in the beginning and the end. One very strange movie that I’m still trying to make sense of!
