One of my favorite books of all time is the French book Dangerous Liaisons by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos. (You know, the movie with Michelle Pfieffer, John Malkovich, and Glen Close? Oh and Keanu Reeves as well! I totally forgot that he was in that too!) Really interesting connection you picked up there Ellwa. Thanks for the snag!

The book seem to be “A Dangerous Liaison”, by Carole Seymour-Jones.

Now answer me back: How can this book be related to Old?"

It's relevant because later Prisca admitted to Maddox (her daughter) she'd been having an affair, and later still, Guy (her husband) admitted to her he already knew about it. The book title was the foreshadowing of that detail.

oh the coded note!!! gah. the worst. and then the double take look when they show him the note as old people the next day? . yeah. too many glitches in the matrix to name just one thing that pushed me over the edge. but yeah, it's almost as if this movie is a comic book itself. stereotypical characters. stereotypically simple solutions. and M. Night as the employee bad guy?? gah. really not a lot to like here.

Ok, I seriously thought this movie was going to be a comedy with a rapper called Mid Sized Sedan. Really? Is he like the Weird Al of rappers? This movie was kind of choppy. The acting was either over the top or kind of like they were phoning it in. It just felt very uneven to me. The neat explanation as to why they were there but not why the beach ages people just left me annoyed. M Night needs to collaborate with Chris Nolan on his next flick and maybe then it could be a worthy mind job type thriller or something but he should stop making films until he gets it together a bit more. I do not like feeling annoyed after watching a film. The 2 siblings magically making it through the coral and all the bad guys getting arrested seemed much too tidy to be a good ending for me. The coded note? Again, eye roll. So I’m thumbs downing this one.
