The telephone game analogy at the end is genuinely brilliant — the idea that the Backrooms isn't just copying reality but copying memories of copies, each layer more distorted than the last, actually explains a lot of the weirder architectural inconsistencies in the film that straight "reality duplication" never quite accounted for. The street signs and the man's living room wall are exactly the kind of environmental evidence that makes this theory hold up better than most.

Theory 3 works perfectly except one thing. I don't believe it's just copying people and their trauma but ANYTHING near a null zone including the people and their memories. a gew things to back this up....the vanishing street signs from the local blog thing tied to the film make it seem like some of the road signage in the BR got sucked up from around the city(dissappearing)and copied in little null zones opening up in the area around the large more stable one(which would be capn clarks basement) and a big one being the man on the other side of the wall. It's pretty obvious that part of the backrooms was copying his house and living room and probably the exact wall he opened up and got sucked into. it's like it's sucking in or analyzing samples of everything around the null zones and even moreso the memories of those who enter and trying to copy it all but distorted through multiple diminishing copies. it's not just copying real existing things but things in the memory like her childhood home and wherever all the other weird stuff comes from. Not just copies of real life distorted but distorted memories. like if you watched a man who's never seen a dog have a dog described to him and have him draw it....then another layed deeper its your memory of that happening and further is distorted by your memory of what he thinks the dog looks like.
