My favorite color is #6e7ca0. But I’m fairly to #7c878e as well. Not to mention #d07d11.  In the world of the web, hex values are how designers work colors. Hex takes a little getting used to but if you understand one simple key it’ll take you far in the world if hex values.

The first pair give you your Red hue. The second are your greens. And the third are your blues. Simple enough, he says knowingly, obviously wondering what the heck to do with the letters!!?! The letters are just 10-15. (A = 10, B = 11, etc). Simple tip… when I read hex I mainly just ignore the 2nd, 4th, and 6th slots. Kinda like rounding. (and it actually works in coding to ignore them as well for sake of brevity and shortening code length.) So when reading my favorite color, its good enough to just read #67a (which really equates to #6677aa – which is’nt Exactly the same as #6e7CA0 but its close enough for government work.)

If you want a deep purple, crank the reds and the blues, so something like, say #cc33aa or #663399 maybe. I added some red to my blue, drop in just a little green so it wasnt extreme… Voila. Purple. I really didn’t start out to teach you how to read hex. SORRY to those of you caught in the cross fire and don’t give a rats patootie how this lameness even works. I was just wanting to show you a website that converts time into hex colors second by second. but if yiu get how hex works (at least at a rough, rudimentary fashion) you might appreciate what its doing a little bit more. Here are a couple examples of the site at work just a few minutes apart. But with what little I showed you about how hex works that should be enough to understand how or why the colors are so different. Right?

So now you’re so hot on the idea you are going to pull it up on your third screen and leave it there as your de facto lock of the day! Which you can do right here http://whatcolourisit.scn9a.org/ … Brilliant, one more hex convert! And as a side bonus, you now inately understand this lame ass joke:
