THiNC. Movie Spotlight #28

THiNC. Movie Spotlight 28 – Having just sprinted back from Oregon (literally, from Bandon by the sea, to Northern California, back to Oregon, to an OJ Simpson scene running through the concourse, to catch my plane on time) I’m a little out of it. But thankfully, the guys over on discord are seriously on top of their game. So this list is 100% from the conversations that are happening over there. If you are curious, there’s a free channel you can join in on the fun with right here. Or, you can say a little thank you, sign up on Patreon, and get all the channels. Either way.

Dr. Death – 2021 – From Lisa. Thanks Lisa!! This one comes straight from the land of podcasts, don’t stop, don’t collect $200. I absolutely loved the podcast – and I had to keep reminding myself to close my mouth regularly. Haven’t watched the show yet, but definitely will be. Basically, the show tells the story of two doctors on the hunt to stop Dr. Christopher Duntsch, whose patients have the tendency to leave his OR maimed, dead, or both. (Wait, waht?) Watch it over on Peacock.

Exit Plan – 2019 – From Erika. Thanks Erika! Glad you are on the mend! Exit Plan apparently tells the story of a reporting investigating a clinic that provides suicide assistance? Or something like that? This is a slow walking thriller of sorts. But apparently intriguing. Watch on Hulu, Amazon, etc.

John and the Hole – 2021 – From Nancy. Get this. This one is simple. A boy, thirteen years old, traps his family… in a hole. And the family is desperately attempting to get out before their time runs out. IE, they die one by one. But the boy? He’s looking for independence, and freedom. He’s not interested in freeing them any time soon. Looks like a real wild ride. Think this one was available via the Sundance Film Festival online – but isn’t now? Just keep an eye out for this one. Think it goes wide on 8/6.

Limetown – 2021 – from Chris. This is another show straight out of the podcast world. This one though is a fictional story – about a Journalist, Lia Haddock, who attempts to solve the mystery behind the disappearance of over 300 people at a neuroscience research facility in Tennessee. OOOooooh. X-Files anyone?!? Watch over on Facebook I believe.

The Killing of Two Lovers – 2021 – from me… curtsy. This one tells the story of a husband and wife that are separated. The husband does not want to be separated. And his wife, oh, she is living with their four children, and another man… in his house. The movie opens with the husband pointing a gun at his wife and her lover in bed… and it just spirals from there. This one may get its shrapnel all up inside you. Watch it over on Amazon.
