Are they good? No idea. Discussions about them on Discord were mixed. So, if you have an opinion on them? Please let us know in the comments below.
HOLY ISLAND – 10.14 Theaters
Sounds like if you are into Kafka, this might be your schtick? Basically a guy on an island is trying to get off of said island? But every time he tries to board the ferry, he learns he has the wrong ticket, or an invalid passport, or there are other complications hindering his departure? (Sounds a lot like Kafka’s The Trial to me.) I don’t have a good feel where this will be playing, or how wide. But it looks super cool with some of this black and white filmed in Super8 color? Avantgarde for sure.
SIGNIFICANT OTHER – 10.7
Ruth and Harry decide to take a romantic backpacking trip through the Pacific Northwest, but amongst the beautiful scenery, Ruth makes an unexpected discovery that sets her off on a strange, frightening new path. The couple aren’t alone in the woods, and they might not be the same when they come out…if they come out.
DECISION TO LEAVE – 10.14
A detective investigating a man’s death in the mountains meets the dead man’s mysterious wife in the course of his dogged sleuthing.
