THiNC. Movie Spotlight 138. Just started The Fall of the House of Usher and am loving it. Really a great show that is in line with other Flanagan shows on Netflix. Just finished Beckham, and really enjoyed that. What else? Went and saw The Creator the other day with some friends… and I highly recommend that.
10.19.23 – BODIES
Netflix’s Bodies is based on the DC Vertigo comic and graphic novel of the same name written by Si Spencer and illustrated by Dean Ormston, Tula Lotay, Meghan Hetrick, and Phil Winslade. The series will consist of eight episodes. And here’s the awesome bit… four different time periods, all are investigating the death of the exact same individual at the same “time.” Wait, what? So ready for this!
10.06.23 – CAT PERSON
This looks like a MESS! And so much catfishing fantastic-ness, I can’t wait. Based on the short story – which you can read right here in the New Yorker… “When Margot, a college sophomore goes on a date with the older Robert, she finds that IRL Robert doesn’t live up to the Robert she has been flirting with over texts. A razor-sharp exploration of the horrors of dating.” Personally? I’m here for Succession’s Nicholas Braun.

Chris Evans, Emily Blunt? Meh. And another retread of the nationwide drug addiction epidemic? Meh. I mean, I guess I’ll try it out. “After losing her job, a woman who’s struggling to raise her daughter takes a job out of desperation. She begins work at a failing pharmaceutical startup, but what she doesn’t anticipate is the dangerous racketeering scheme she’s suddenly entered.”
