THiNC. Movie Spotlight 139

This week is a little different, in that I am going to bring you three different documentaries that are mind blowingly interesting. They are all new-ish. But all worth their weight in gold. (What exactly does a 1 gig streaming of data weigh exactly Taylor… shhhh.) I’ve recently watched all three and found them each to be riveting in their own way.

Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal

Did you watch The Tiger King with your hands over your eyes, but your eyes wide open, aghast at what you were watching? Then the Murdaugh Murders, season 1 AND season 2 are for you. This show is the craziest story, of the craziest horrors ever. Just unbelievable how horrifying the unraveling of this family really was.

Vjeran tomic: The Spiderman of Paris

If you know me at all – like even a smidge – you know that I love art. Any time that I find myself in a large city, I head straight for the art museums. I grew up camping out in the D.C. National Gallery of Art, hanging out there every single chance I could get when visiting the capitol. The Tate Modern in London, the Met in New York, Amsterdam’s Rijksmuseum (oh, the Rembrandts that they have!), Marmottan – the Monet Museum in Paris, obviously The Louvre, The Getty in Los Angeles, The Art Institute of Chicago (Bueller? Bueller?), Denver’s gorgeously built Museum of Art, I just can’t… I can’t get enough of the stuff. But this guy? Vjeran Tomic? He’s an art fan of a whole ‘nother calibre.

King of Clones

King of Clones is a cult of personality documentary unlike anything I’ve ever witnessed before. It really must be seen to be believed.

These three – four really if you include season 2 of the Murdaugh series, which you will slip and fall and watch once you watch season 1 – documentaries were hoovered up in the span of an evening or two. Sometimes I just get on doc kicks and I literally cannot stop. Someone, please take the remote from my hand! I need an intervention now! Somebody? Help?
