Shelbzilla and Lisa attempted to tip me to it while ago over on the Discord channel, but alas, I ignore them generally. hahah. Alright, let’s spotlight.

No. It’s you who should be afraid. Beau is Afraid is a movie brought to you by a gentleman who goes by the name of Ari Aster. Don’t know anyone by that name? Okay. Fair. But he brought to you two of the scariest movies of all time, Midsommer and Hereditary. And Midsommer is the scariest movie ever made, bar none. And if you object… well, I object, and I don’t care who you are, or what your counterarguments are… I’m right. So is Beau is Afraid going to be a horror movie? Yeah? And a comedy? Which is an unnerving thought really.
2023.04.21 THE COVENANT
Jake Gyllenhaal for the win. Hitting theaters this Friday. Pretty compelling storyline. “During the war in Afghanistan, a local interpreter risks his own life to carry an injured sergeant across miles of grueling terrain.” OK. Interesting. Bet there will be some fun to be had here.

Cheesy action your thing? PERFECT, because boy have I got the movie for you!! “Salt-of-the-earth Cole (Evans) falls head over heels for enigmatic Sadie (de Armas)—but then makes the shocking discovery that she’s a secret agent. Before they can decide on a second date, Cole and Sadie are swept away on an international adventure to save the world.” But I will NEVER diss Anna after her epic role in 2048. Never.
