Andor – 9.21
I’m crazy excited about Andor. The fact that I just got a new enormous TV for my basement is probably adding a bit to the excitement here. But, for me, the rest of the spin-offs just haven’t felt like the standard resistance Star Wars fare. But Andor? Rogue One? That is the definition of the Star Wars Universe in my mind, and I’m so here for this today. So excited.
Rubikon
Rubikon flips the space chaos on its head apparently. Space station astronauts are flummoxed when Earth stops responding. Huh. Seems like a decent idea. Looks like a good quality film. ooooh. But rotten tomatoes has it at like a star and a half. gack. Someone watch it and let us know?? Ratings don’t mean a ton around here, unless they do! hahah.
Speak No Evil – in theaters now
I absolutely loved Speak No Evil. It is a really difficult movie to watch. But I’ve not been able to stop thinking about it since I watched it. Again, REALLY hardcore last 20 minutes. So, be aware of that before you head out to the movie theater to watch this one. Oh, it’s available also on Shudder and a couple other streaming services as well, so there’s that.
Don’t Worry Darling – 9.23
Don’t Worry Darling is the sort of insulated, mind-jobby sort of film that we look for here at THiNC. Don’t know what kind of mind job we are in for here, but something crazy is up, that’s for sure. Critics hate it so far, and it’s actually been better at a gossip delivery system than an entertainment experience. But, I’m willing to give it a shot.
