As I explained – in this much too long post – I have decided to mine the depths of this site’s intellectual movie capital of crazy awesome movies and craft a top 25 movies list. Now, this movies list will be unlike any other movie list you’ve ever seen. Why? Because Quality and Unknownness will be equally weighted. And lucky for you, I built an algorithm to find and surface the crazy mindjobs that no one has heard of so that I can bring them to you in this top twenty five countdown. Right? So yes, the top 25 movie mindjob countdown – The Ghoul. Our list so far:

Number 4 – The Ghoul
It’s going to be difficult to convince you to watch this movie without spoiling this one. But the summary is simple enough. Just don’t look too closely into the looking glass or you might find yourself slipping through to wonderland.
Chris is an independent consultant to the police for particularly difficult crimes to solve. Need that extra edge on that double homicide? Chris is your man. As an independent investigator Chris has been regularly working with the local cops in order to find murderers, and the like. And this latest crime, the double homicide of two psychotherapists, is no different. But the nuances of this particular crime are strange. Like the fact that both of the victims didn’t fall down dead until the murderer left the crime scene.
As the crime investigations continues, their number one suspect is getting therapy from a therapist right around the corner from the police station. And so, in order to find out more about this suspect, Chris volunteers to start getting therapy from this therapist, and to check around the offices while he’s at it. OK? Got it? I think you have enough right there. It’s your standard 80’s thriller setup. Except that, from there on out, literally nothing else is standard.
Alright? The Ghoul! Woot. Can’t believe we are at #4 on this list. Feels like I started this list years ago. Remind me never to do a once a week reveal of anything anymore. I’ve probably been contacted by five or ten of you tell me that you have doctor’s notes that prohibit you from this level of suspense in your life. (Some of that was tongue in cheek – but not all of it. I kid you not. “BUT I HAVE TO KNOW WHAT MOVIES ARE LEFT ON THE LIST MAN!!!!”)
