I’m not sure why I’m sharing this movie with you all – especially after the whole Morning Show Imbroglio – this movie is so much better than you all deserve. I should stick with marvel movie recommendations or something… not a movie as brilliant as The Sweet East. “A high school senior from South Carolina gets her first glimpse of the wider world, picturesque cities and woods of the Eastern seaboard on a class trip to Washington, D.C.” Gah!

I mean, this one isn’t so bad, I guess. I mean, the 90’s are calling and they want their actors back. But I heck, I’ll follow Ethan Hawke to the moon and back. So, there’s that. “Blackouts have been occurring all over the country and could potentially upset the holiday of two families. As they deal with the unsteady situation, problems begin to escalate. What started as a local issue has become an apocalyptic blackout leaving millions across the world in darkness with no electricity. The world is falling apart and the two families have only each other to rely on in increasingly unstable and terrifying conditions. Survival will require a true team effort but, as their old lives slip away, everyone is left feeling scared and alone.”
