Season 2 of Invasion is out now – question mark? Yup, it’ll be online when this publishes on the 23rd. Regardless, definitely worth watching season 1, which took a more meandering, slower pass, towards apparently, a more exciting, and action-packed, season 2.
BOTTOMS – 2023.08.25
Ayo Edebiri. Ayo Edebiri. Ayo Edebiri. I have no idea what this movie, show, thing is. Nor do I care specifically. I now just want to watch absolutely anything she is in. Reading the weather? Check. Sudoku? OK, I’m game. Ayo was magical in season 1 and season 2 of The Bear and I’m now a huge fan and will follow her wherever she goes.
DONBASS – Streaming Now
I am OBSESSED with the war within Ukraine and the politics swirling around that entire region. Crimea, Donbass, even Armenia and the likes. That entire world has become really fascinating to me, and the politics are anything but simple. (In America, we mythically think in blacks and whites. We have this idealistic, unrealistic view of the politics of the region. And that view is totally tainted by lots and lots of money. AKA- a defense budget that is larger than the next 10 largest defense budgets in the world.) All that to say – if you are tracking the Ukraine news closely, then this should be required watching.
