THiNC. Movie Spotlight 132. Man, it’s going to a very rough few months in the movie viewing world. The strike has caused all manner of chaos in the release calendar. But some are saying that it might clear out the Hollywood Chaff? And allow the Indie film world to get a bit more of the spotlight. Who knows. We will see what way that it goes… but that would be a very positive benefit through all of this. If you want a little deeper dive on what is going on right now in Hollywood… Read this. THE CHANGELING – 09.08.23 – limited series
On the 8th, Apple TV+ will drop the first 3 episodes of this limited series… which looks fantastic. I don’t normally chase shows, but this looks like it might be worth our time?? “The Changeling” is a fairytale for grown-ups. A horror story, a parenthood fable and a perilous odyssey through a New York City you didn’t know existed.
Scout’s Honor: The Secret Files of the Boy Scouts of America – 09.06.23
Yeah, this sounds really intense. But also, really important. Very sad to think this needs to be a thing, but I’m interested to see just how deep the tunnel goes.
THE GOOD MOTHER – Theaters Now
Haven’t we seen this movie two hundred and forty seven times? Dunno. Maybe it’s just me. Regardless, Hillary Swank is always a force to be reckoned with. The story is well known though. Son dies at the hands of drug dealers. So his mother and pregnant girlfriend begin investigating his death… yeah, well trod.
