THiNC. Movie Spotlight 109

Let’s pause for just a second. Hi. I’m Taylor. I love movies. I’d bet my car, that you love movies too. So, it’d probably be great if we just became friends. It may seem like you are here by yourself, but, you are not. Google Analytics is telling me that at the time of this posting, at any given minute, there are over a hundred other people reading along with you. So, maybe, grab a hold of one of the posts on here and comment – say hi to the others reading alongside you. Another way to connect with all these other people on here who also love cool, strange, and wonderful movies just like you do…? You could jump on Patreon and go whole hog? Or, click this link and take the free route, and join us on Discord.

Also, this Spotlight thing, is something I (we – because the people on Discord often help me out with it) have been doing for… (reads notes) 109 weeks (+/-). The last few months have been trickier to publish these because so few movies seem to becoming out in the THiNC. world. Bah, we make the best of it anyway.

2023.03.30 MASTER GARDENER

I could begin and end this Spotlight with the Master Gardener and I will consider it a success. “Why Taylor?? Tell us!” Welp, do the movies Taxi Driver, Card Counter, First Reformed mean anything to you? Because, if you haven’t seen them all… stop. And reconsider what it is that you are doing with your life. You really should reconsider a few of your priorities. First Reformed was glorious Ethan Hawke brilliance. Card Counter was a story of grace so deeply profound that most people missed it. And Taxi Driver is just Taxi Driver good. The ending of that movie is something else. A Paul Schrader movie brought to you by Magnolia equals goodness and light… angels will fill the sky, sing melodies and harmonies that will be orgasmically good. Trust me on this one. And no, I know nothing. I saw like 12 seconds of that trailer up there… and then promptly hit stop when I saw that it was a Paul Schrader film. And I’d recommend you do the same.

2023.03.31 TETRIS

I’m a geek. Like, a geek’s geek… and fairly proud of this fact. And this movie looks AWESOME! I mean, the only game that holds more nostalgic value for me than Tetris would be like… Pong… and Atarti 2600’s Adventure, and NES’ original Super Mario, and… Oh, you get the idea. But even so, Tetris was AWESOME! And the story of its creation looks fantastic! I cannot wait. And it’s on Apple TV tomorrow!

Previously on Spotlight Worth Mentioning:
OPERATION FORTUNE – more Latham fast-talking British action fun.
SHARPER – it was good. I enjoyed it anyway. Just stop.
KNOCK AT THE CABIN – M. Night remake of Cabin at the End of the World.
WHEN YOU FINISH SAVING THE WORLD – because awesome.
MASTER GARDENER – can’t wait to get into the theater for this one!!
SHADOW & BONE S.2 – Leigh Bardugo for the win because, of course.
