Tes habilités de critique... C'est de la vraie merde ce qui est écrit ici.

As I explained – in this much too long post – I have decided to mine the depths of this site’s intellectual movie capital of crazy awesome movies and craft a top 25 movies list. Now, this movies list will be unlike any other movie list you’ve ever seen. Why? Because Quality and Unknowness will be equally weighted. And lucky for you, I built an algorithm to find and surface the crazy mindjobs that no one has heard of so that I can bring them to you in this top twenty five countdown. Our list so far:

Can’t wait to see this list grow as we find more and more movies that are below your radar… And here is the total list of every movie published so far.

Number 20 – Timecrimes

Back when I originally found this movie, through a benevolent tipster, I loved it so much, I decided I would find Nacho Vigalondo, the writer and director, to talk to him about his movie. But at the time, my little itty bitty, itty bitty site (for the record, this site still one itty bitty…but thankfully not two!) was just a gnat, but thankfully Nacho took some time out to chat with me a little about this crazy cool movie. And this was while he was making the movie Colossal too.

Timecrimes is a closed box time loop movie that spirals itself into a tightly wound vortex, until it squeezes the viewer into oblivion. Curious as to how to watch, Prime has it here, but all the major outlets have it right now.

Timecrimes, or Los Cronocrímenes, is a Spanish, low budget film that details the accidental time traveling of a man named Hector, and the resulting chaos that it begins to cause. And, as he attempts to solve the spiraling results, he finds that he has to go deeper and deeper into this abyss.

I enjoyed the movie so much that I even went so far as to build an intricate movie timeline of how the movie unfolded. But be warned, that is spoiler concentrate right there. That’s not just a little bit of spoiler, but the entire movie completely and totally unlocked for you. But hey, after checking the movie out on Prime, head on over to my original post, and you’ll find a detailed timeline walking through the timeline, an infographic, as well as a primer as to what happened at the end of the movie and why. And I’d love to hear what you thought of the movie at the end of the day.
